The article describes the advisability of purchased components and spare parts technical review, the importance of carrying out an analysis of technical documentation for operated components and spare parts performance evaluation, introduction of necessary changes in their design and the best performance obtaining. It is also shown that the significant amount of operated components and spare parts have the possibility of reliability improvement that leads to the totally growth of equipment operation reliability and efficiency. Moreover there is no need to revise the technical documentation developed by a specialized organization, as all changes in operated components and spare parts design are made within specified tolerances or in manufacturing technique. It is also advisable to consider a method of part blank producing in some cases. According to the authors there happens to be the same approach when reviewing the similar products technical documentation of different organizations during the pre-tender period. Some examples illustrating the practical importance of these operations are shown. Necessary calculations were carried out with the KOMDET-M application program for processes analysis in volumetric machines (VM). The illustration of the possibility of components and spare parts reliability and efficiency improvement within the developed technical documentation is also shown.
