Due to the increasing deficit and prices on energy resources the problems of energy saving are becoming increasingly important. The decreasing of power consumption of a refrigeration unit is largely de-termined at the design stage of a certain object, by choosing a scheme, selection of the equipment and algorithm of the operation. The use of an accumulator of natural cold in a refrigeration unit is one of the modern efficient ways to reduce energy consumption for the produc-tion of cold. Some approximate calculations have been done for the estimation of the use of such a possibility, which allowed evaluate the perspectives of natural cold use for these purposes.
